Ad Club at USC
As a University final project deemed a “passion project”, our group decided to raise the Ad Club at USC from the dead. In a world where post-COVID amnesia threatened its existence, we took it upon ourselves to breathe new life into this forgotten gem. Armed with creativity and a hefty dose of sarcasm, we embarked on a mission to revive the spirit of advertising on campus. Our strategy was to do anything and everything possible to get the attention of minds like ours (just three years prior). We crafted terrible ads, strategically placed next to posters challenging onlookers with "think you could do better? Join ad club!" We created merchandise, from t-shirts to pizza cutters and fly swatters. Our pièce de résistance? A logo so versatile it could morph to fit any theme or mood, embodying the essence of our eclectic spirit. But we didn't stop there. We scattered stickers in the most unconventional of locations—bathroom stalls, urinals, under tables, you name it—because why should ads be confined to the mundane? In the end, our passion project transcended mere advertising; it became a celebration of creativity, camaraderie found only within advertising, and the enduring spirit of the USC Ad Club.
